SZAFRAN Sam (1934- 09/2019) "Dans le ventre d'H", mixed technique on wood, signed lower right and countersigned on the back and dated August 1958. Sam SZAFRAN, whose real name is Sam SZAFRANSKY, had given a first title to his painting but crossed it out to give it the title "Dans le ventre d'H". On the back, he also wrote his address in 1958. 196x272cm (accidents and minor detachment of some parts of the material). Provenance: our painting was acquired by the grandparents of the present owners directly from the painter, a friend of the family. The painting was first installed in Paris, then moved to a seaside villa.
