Auvergne. Folk art from the late 18th / early 19th century
23-thread ribbon passette, with wolf's teeth motifs on the crossbars
Carved beech on both sides.
All you need to do is attach the warp threads on one side to a fixed support (wall, chair, etc.) and on the other to the belt, to tighten it and pass the weft through by simply moving the passette up and down.
