Elegantly framed, our small circular pastel conveys all the singularity of William Degouve de Nuncques's landscapes. Imbued with symbolism, the Belgian artist presents a winter landscape, focusing on snowy branches with decorative curves and a few black birds. The birds are only hinted at in a few black patches that contrast with the chromatic harmony of blues and whites, treated in the artist's own subtle divisionism.
