[ENTOMOLOGY]. Set of 17 documents. Scientific correspondence addressed to the entomologist Alfred CHOBAUT (1860-1926), in particular a specialist in the insects of the Vaucluse and Mont-Ventoux (Vaucluse):
- ABEILLE DE PERRIN, Elzéar (1843-1910), French entomologist. C.V.A.S. S.l.n.d. 2 pp. in-16 oblong.
He wishes his correspondent "numerous beetles in our vicinity, mixed with new species to which Providence and your skill have accustomed you, numerous triongulins [beetle larvae] in our tubes; finally combined clientele and entomology; numerous two- or six-legged friends [...]".
- SAINTE-CLAIRE-DEVILLE, Jean (1870-1932), French entomologist, specialist in beetles. 4 L.A.S. on letter-card. 1908 to 1910. 4 pp. in-12 square. About the examination and study of dorytomus, ellescus, scanicus, Corticaria cribricollis, Coryphium chobauti (named after his correspondent) and many other beetles.
-BOURGEOIS, Jules (1847-1911), Alsatian entomologist. He had a collection of more than 15,000 beetles and described several hundred of them. C.A.S. 1910. 2 pp. in-12. About his catalogue of Vosges beetles and Mont Ventoux malacoderms.
