Jacques-Joseph CHAMPOLLION-FIGEAC (Figeac 1778-1867), librarian and palaeographer, curator of manuscripts at the Royal Library, brother of Jean-François Champollion. Beautiful set of letters on his work as a librarian and historian: - 10 autograph letters signed to Jules Desnoyers, librarian at the Jardin des Plantes and secretary to the Société de l'Histoire de France, some letterheads from the Bibliothèque Royale or the École Royale des Chartes. - 3 autograph letters signed to Barbié du Bocage - 5 autograph letters signed to librairie Tillard. - 5 autograph letters signed to various people (Langlois, etc.) - autograph note (1 p. in-4) on a history of the Normans composed by a monk from Mont-Cessin - 3 letters to "Champollion aîné" in Grenoble, circa 1810 - 1 "Note pour M. Champollion" (1 p. in-4, c. 1810), stamped "Champollion-Figeac" + 1 letter from his son Aimé.
