JAPAN, MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) A set of two bronzes comprising a basin decorated in relief with flowers and a crane; and a small covered tripod incense burner fixed to a circular base, the handle forming a Buddhist lion. The rim is decorated with two friezes, one with vines and bunches of grapes, the other with stylised lotus flowers. Two stylised cambered handles.
