Illustrated with numerous engravings in and out of the text, including figures, signs and hieroglyphs. 9 folding plates out of text. Bound in vellum, 5-ribbed spine. The boards decorated with a fleuron in the centre. (Stains, vellum at foot of spine slightly torn, tear on first cover in lower right corner, leaves browned in places, tears but not missing from some plates).
