Léon Joseph Voirin (1833-1887) was a French painter renowned for his contributions to the École de Nancy. He was the twin brother of Jules Voirin. Voirin specialised in a wide variety of subjects, including military themes, genre scenes, landscapes, and was also an accomplished watercolourist. He studied with Eugène Guérard for five years, which had a considerable influence on his artistic development. His works often reflect a charm and attention to detail, capturing the essence of everyday life and the beauty of nature.
