Three engravings of works by the great masters, including : - VAN LAER Pieter Jacobsz, known as il Bamboccio (c. 1599-1642) after "The shepherds: woman milking a goat and flute player", second quarter of the 17th century, Dutch school. Original work by the artist conserved at the Musée du Louvre in the Paintings department, Richelieu wing. Engraving entitled "Le Loisir du Pâtre", drawn by Snebac and engraved by Baltard. Size: 50 cm (height) x 65 cm Note: tears around the edges - RUBENS Pierre Paul (1577-1640) after "Evening landscape with bird-watcher and full moon", circa 1635-1640, Southern Netherlands. Original work by the artist conserved at the Musée du Louvre in the Paintings department, Richelieu wing. Lithograph entitled "Effet de Soleil" and numbered 12, Flemish School. Designed by Marchais and engraved by Dupare. Printed and published by Félix Hermet, Paris. Description of the decor: The human activities refer to the calendar and allude to autumn (hunting) or spring (sawing wood). The mill is thought to be that of Elewijt (1626), near Mechelen, which was destroyed in 1914. Many commentators see in this painting an effect of the rising sun. Size: 48 cm (height) x 64 cm Note: accidents and tears around the edges - FRANCIA Francesco (1447-1517, Bologna) after "The Holy Family", circa 1485-90, commissioned by BIANCHINI Bartolomeo. Original work by the artist kept at the Gemäldegalerie, National Museums of Berlin. Engraving by SMEETON Joseph Burn and TILLY Auguste, two wood engravers associated in 1872.
