[Savoie] [Piémont] PINGON (Emmanuel-Philibert). Philiberti Pingonii sabaudi Augusta Taurinorum [followed by:] Inclytorum Saxoniae, Sabaudiaeque Principum arbor gentilitia. Turin, Honorat de Rubeis, 1777. Two parts in one volume in-4, full hardback. 136 pp, 13 pp, (1) f., 131 pp. Spine mostly missing, binding weak.
One-volume reprint of two texts by Pingon originally published in the 16th century. Compared with the original editions, the "Augusta Taurinorum" does not include the large map of Turin, while in the "Arbor gentiletia" of the House of Savoy, the family tree is here replaced by a fold-out table listing the unbroken series of 29 princes of Savoy, from Siguardo King of Saxony (year 636) to Charles Emmanuel I (1580).
