Drafted into the 35th Infantry Regiment on 9th April 1915, then the 42nd and 96th Infantry Regiments.
Transferred to military aviation as a student pilot on 19 June 1917.
Licence no. 7961 obtained at the Istres Aviation School on 17 August 1917.
Advanced training on a Caudron G4 at Avord.
Pilot with the GDE from 20 October 1917 to 10 February 1918.
Released on Breguet 14 B2 on 23 January 1918.
Pilot with Escadrille BR 123 from 10 February 1918 to 13 September 1919.
Appointed Sergeant on 12 May 1918.
Died at Strasbourg on 23 June 1923.
