Very rare marble, thought to date from 1923, by the sculptor Ernest Nivet, (he is said to have made only 5 in his career) representing the bust of a young woman from Issoudun, whose family he was a friend of. This bust was also presented at "La Collection Privée" in 1994; 54 x 44cm.

Large original plaster by Ernest Nivet (he appeared at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1910) with patina "Femme cousant" (Sewing Woman) wearing a bonnet and clogs, signed on the base and bearing an old exhibition label n°18 (or 28) from the 1994 "Collection Privée" Exhibition, a rare subject of such dimensions, 120cm high! The missing finger on the hand is in our possession, all we need is a little Superglue... the visible sticky paper retains the wrapping of the missing finger.
