French Rite Master's apron dating from the early 19th century L.32 cm; h.27.5 cm. Material: silk (this model originally existed in painted skin).
This one is a little later, a silk apron surrounded by a blue braid. In the centre of a mosaic pavement rises the temple with its triangular pediment and dome. To the right and left are columns J and B, at the foot of which grow two acacia trees. Above column J, the moon; above column B, the starry sky. At the foot of the temple, the symbols level, square, mallet, sword, compass, cubic laying stone and beehive. On the triangular flap, the radiant sun. First Empire period, return from Egypt type. Condition: Satisfactory (a few tears on the silk)
