CHÂTEAU DE LUYNES - Round table medal 72 mm - 245 grammes - Monnaie de Paris minted, bronze with 1968 horn hallmark - High relief work by Roger Bertrand BARON ( * ): cavalier view of the château, formerly the seigneury of Maille - Reverse: in the centre of a decorative motif inspired by the ducal crown, the arms of the de Luynes family, current owners of the château, with the Latin motto Quo Me Jura Vocant Et Regis Gloria (where the King's right and glory call me). ( * ) R.B. BARON : 1907 / 1994 - Professor of human and animal anatomy. The Baron prize is awarded each year to an animal artist for their body of work. Author of more than 500 coins and medals (in particular of Monaco, portrait of Princess Grace). Produced the academic swords of Jean Rostand, E. Wolff, Louis Gallien and Henri Normant.
