Renaissance style mantel. Lintel delicately carved with a frieze of ovals and foliage, adorned in the centre with a projecting putto head. Columns with Ionic capitals detached from the façade and topped with masks form the jambs. The hearth opening is framed by foliage motifs, foliage scrolls and a central mascaron. Circa 1890.
