PARIS 1749. A plain period silver bowl. The ears/handles richly decorated with a couple in profile facing each other in a frame of foliate foliage, all on a bitter background. The coat of arms is degreased on one side and on the other with a figured cartouche stamped with a count's crown. Marks for PARIS 1749. Hallmarks of the master silversmith: Claude GENU ("CG" and rose), received in 1711. Piece well hallmarked (body and each ear). Maximum height: 4.1 cm approx. Diameter (excluding ears): 17.3 cm. Length (with ears): 29.7 cm. Weight: 363.8 grams.
