SAINTES 1741 Pair of Louis XV period silver torches with octagonal bases, just like the shafts, nodes and binnacles. The bases are engraved with beautiful period coats of arms under a count's crown. Marks for SAINTES 1741 (including letter date V). Mark attributed to the master silversmith: Jean GEORGES dit La Roche, received in 1734. H: 20.7 cm, width: 11.5 cm Weight: 969 grams.
