Joints split, title missing, but a solid copy. Some foxing in the margins, otherwise very good condition inside. "This map is composed of 18 plates which will be inserted in the Book of the Geometrical description of France, which is currently under press, these plates were arranged so that their assembly can result in a general map ... ". This technical atlas was produced to present the method used to produce the large 180-map general map of France that bears the geographer's name, and which would take more than 40 years to draw up... Each map has four pages. The maps can be joined together to form a complete map with sides measuring over one and a half metres. The title, without place or date, is on the second map, the warning on the fifteenth. Very rare
