ASPREY London A large gilt-ware trophy with Greek handles. The circular base chased with a frieze of large water leaves. The bowl decorated in repoussé with laurel leaves and the profile of George III in a cartouche. The rim of the bowl decorated with a large frieze of vine shoots. The chased dome lid with reserved scale motifs. Fretel with acorn. The inside is decorated with vermeil. Marked with a lion passant, leopard's head, goldsmith's hallmark and date letter "G", London 1805-1806 for the lid, the rest 1802-1803. On a truncated wooden pedestal with the mark.
