Beautiful flintlock shotgun.
Cal. 16 mm approximately. Barrel in its original lightened blued finish, fluted on the 1st third, with stepped beads then round, the muzzle slightly blundered, bearing flat sight and barley grain rear sight. The thunderbolt is gold damascened with a lictor beam surmounted by a Phrygian cap and Themis, symbol of justice, between foliage branches and monogrammed "J" and "B". The breech tail, the end of the sides and the barley grain sights are highlighted with gold damascened decoration of floral motifs and branches of foliage. Steel flintlock lock with round body, moulded rim, gooseneck hammer with round body decorated in relief with floral motifs. Moulded burr walnut stock with short shaft decorated with silver fillet inlaid scrolls, horns of plenty and floral motifs, the end of the shaft in horn. Brass thrust piece monogrammed "GRG". Moulded and decorated cut steel fittings. Whalebone ramrod with bone tip. Functional mechanism with two clear notches and no play.
