RENAULT SPORT Spider windscreen 1994
Serial number: VMKAF0H05-16477668.
- Very rare.
- Atypical.
The presentation of the Renault-Sport Spider in 1995 coincided with the end of the Alpine brand. The model inaugurated the Renault-Sport branch. The car seeks to maintain Alpine's tradition of uncompromising sportiness. It was originally designed as a circuit promotion. However, Renault took the decision to produce the W94 project in small series. It's a car with a refreshing concept, especially coming from a major manufacturer. The model's rivals were smaller manufacturers such as Caterham, Donkervoort and Lotus. The Renault-Sport Spider has a completely new body, incorporating the engine from the Clio Williams and the wheels and brakes from the Alpine A610, and was designed by Berex (Alpine's design office in Dieppe) over a period of 15 months. Only 1,726 examples will be assembled.
Our example is in working order. The bodywork is in generally good condition. The black imitation cockpit trim is in satisfactory condition. The mechanics work normally. The fuel filter has just been changed.
The vehicle, which is in RHD configuration, has its soft top and tonneau cover.
The car has its normal registration papers and its MOT less than 6 months old. A general service is planned.
