A flared mirror with rich ornamentation in wood and gilded stucco, the uprights decorated at the base with large shell volutes surmounted by putti framing a pediment with a large openwork shell, flowers and rocaille motifs (minor accidents and restorations). The back has parquet flooring. Roccoco style in the taste of 18th century Italy. Height : 128 cm 128 cm - Width: 88 cm

Violet wood veneered chest of drawers with curved front. The front opens to reveal four drawers in three rows framed by rounded brass fluted uprights. Ornamented with gilded chased bronzes such as draw handles, key escutcheons, shell-shaped lamp bases and falls. White veined red marble top (accidents, missing parts, restorations). Stamped by François LIEUTAUD Regency period. Height 84cm - Width : 128 cm - Depth : 64 cm Born in Marseille, François Lieutaud (1665-1748) worked under the reigns of Louis XIV and the Regency, the Crown granting him the privilege of working his bronzes. He created a dynasty of cabinet-makers with his son Charles and grandson Balthazar.

A pair of chased and gilt bronze sconces with two acanthus leaf arms, the base with knotted cords ending in tassels (electrified). In the 18th century style. Height 65.5 cm - Width 31 cm

Large cartel and its bracket in Boulle marquetry of brass on a black background of Bérain-style foliage and rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronze. Behind a circular glass door, the dial with white enamelled plates shows the hours in Roman numerals, and is underlined by a plate bearing the inscription MARTINOT (?) à Paris. The lower part is decorated with a Muse with a shell lyre and a putto on a Bacchus mask. The jambs are adorned with acanthus leaves and the pediment is centred on a bifron in a crowned cartouche. The ensemble is surmounted by an Allegory of Time embodied by Saturn with outstretched wings and a scythe seated on a terrestrial globe. The plate movement is numbered 1831.12 and marked VINCENTI & Cie 1855 Médaille d'argent (missing the balance wheel - some lifting and minor damage to the marquetry, the right side window damaged). The bracket is in the same style. Regency style. Total height: 155 cm approx. Cartel dimensions: 120 cm - Width: 48 cm - Depth: 19 cm Dimensions of the console: Height 35 cm - Width: 58.5 cm - Depth: 30 cm A cartel similar to our Regency period model with a movement signed CGG MESNIL in Paris was sold at auction on 4 May 2023 in Mantes-la-Jolie.

A white marble and chased ormolu clock with a pediment featuring a quiver, torch and flowering branches. The circular dial indicates the hours with Arabic numerals, underlined by garlands of flowers, the pearl frieze surround surmounted by tori with knotted ribbons and underlined by draperies. The uprights with hanging flowers and attributes of the hunt and the Bacchic procession, the lower part with central projection rests on four toupee feet (minor knocks). Plate movement signed Vincenti Cie, silver medal 1855. Louis XVI style. Height 32.5 cm - Width: 16 cm - Depth: 13.5 cm

Portico clock in white and black marble, chased ormolu with brown patina, the sheaths with busts of Egyptian women. Richly decorated with sphinxes, garlands of falling flowers, laurel and oak branches, antique urns and a frieze of palmettes on the base. White enamelled dial with Roman numerals in black, sunburst balance (accidents). Louis XVI period. Height 56.5 cm - Width: 42.5 cm - Depth: 10 cm Under a rectangular pvc globe. A very similar clock appears on p.199 of the book "Encyclopédie de la pendule française du Moyen-Age au XXe siècle" by Pierre KJELLBERG.

A curved mahogany armchair with fluted, gadrooned uprights and a wide, grooved backrest centred on concentric circles underlined by a shell-shaped cordiform motif. The armrests have rectangular armrests (restorations, including joinery, knocks). Stamped by Benjamin HARMER after a model by Thomas HOPE England, Regency style circa 1800. Height 88 cm - Width 62.5 cm - Depth 57 cm A curule armchair based on a design by Thomas Hope in the Brighton Borough Council and illustrated by Christopher Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture, 1770-1840, Leeds, 1996 -p. 258-259, figs. 474-478 The father of the Regency style, Thomas Hope (1769-1831) was a discerning collector who took advantage of the family fortune to acquire some exceptional pieces. In 1799, Hope bought a house in London's Duchess Street designed by the architect Robert ADAM. This house became his playground and the expression of his taste. He created rich neo-classical interiors inspired by his many travels - the birth of the Regency style. He recorded all this in a work in the form of a manifesto of the decorative arts and crafts: Household Furniture & Interior Decoration (1807). A number of rooms went down in history, including the Egyptian Room, the Statuary Gallery and the Aurora Room. It was in this room, lined with mirrors reflecting the statue of the Goddess of the Dawn, that Hope placed this model of a curved armchair with a very antiquisite shape (pl. 7), very close to our model.
