An important portico clock in white marble, gilt bronze and patinated bronze.
The dial signed Defaille in Paris is flanked by two uprights decorated with Egyptian women wearing Némès headdresses, and underlined by a leafy drapery with ribbon bow.
The base, with alternating white and black marble, is underlined by a Clodion frieze with cherubs and rests on 4 feet.
The base is adorned with two bronze sphinxes with a medal patina and an eagle striking down a snake.
