First edition illustrated with 33 title vignettes or in the text and 112 off-text lithographed plates on Chine appliqué. First part: Bernese Oberland (1823): 24 plates. Second part: Ancien Evêché de Bâle (1824): 16 plates. Third part: Lake of the Four Cantons (1826): 24 plates. Fourth part: Lake Geneva, Chamouny [Chamonix] and the Valais (1827): 24 plates. Fifth part: Simplon route: 24 plates.

Paris, Chez Sazerac & Duval, 1825. 4 parts in one large folio volume, contemporary half basane, smooth spine decorated. (1) f., 22 pp., 18 pp., 17 pp., 22 pp. Binding worn, last page of text partially detached, inside clean. Rare first edition, complete with engravings: lithographed title by Engelmann, 5 vignettes in the text and 40 lithographed plates by Langlumé and Villain after Edouard Pingret (in collaboration with Victor Adam for one lithograph). Edouard Pingret (1785-1869), painter of portraits and genre scenes, pupil of David and Baron de Regnaut.

Valence, Au Secrétariat de la Société, 1873-1975. 29 volumes in-8, modern red half-chagrin, 5-rib spine, gilt title, all covers preserved. This review first appeared in 1866, the year the Society was founded. Its founding members were Messrs MONIER DE LA SIZERANNE, senator, member of the General Council - BÉRENGER (de la Drôrne), honorary president of the Court of Cassation, member of the Institute, former peer of France - GIRAUD (Emile), former deputy, former correspondent of the Ministry of Public Education - LONG (Denis), doctor of medicine at Die, corresponding member of the Institute of France. The aim of the Société d'archéologie, d'histoire et de géographie de la Drôme is to promote archaeological, statistical and historical studies, particularly in and about the Drôme département. It has three main activities: publishing the Revue drômoise, organising conferences (3 to 4 a year) and organising visits and outings. This collection, which has been patiently built up over 30 years, is perfectly and recently uniformly bound and covers the following years: 1873 to 1876, 1879 to 1882, 1884 to 1886, 1889 to 1894, 1897 to 1926, and 1935 to 1975. The bindings have retained the original bistre covers: this is important as the contents of each issue are given on the back of each upper cover.

BLETON (Auguste). Lyon Pittoresque. Illustrated with 5 etchings, 20 lithographs and 300 pen-and-ink drawings by Joannes Drevet. Lyon, Bernoux et Cumin, 1896. One large volume in-4, brown half-chagrin, 5-rib spine, gilt head, covers preserved. VIII, 322 pp, 8pp (subscription form as new). Small tear on first cover else a fine copy. One of 50 contributor's copies (n° XIX), printed for Joannès Drevet on tinted vellum, with his first bookplate "au hénin" [Vial n° 154] . This copy contains a very rare double suite, printed specially on chine contrecollé (the only suite so encountered) and not mentioned by Vial]. Joannès Drevet has also added 3 original drawings: "Le Clocher d'Ainay" [back cover, placed after the frontispiece; drawing taken over by the etching, see Vial 111]. "Saint-Georges, février 1895" [page VIII, after the preface, graphite drawing on green canson, not reproduced]. "Carmes Déchaussés", graphite drawing taken up by the etching, see Vial 108, page 304, after the etching of which a rare state printed in bistre]. As well as 8 original etchings added to the 5 in the book: 1/ page 18 "Aspects du quartier Grôlée en 1892" [Vial 95, 90 exempl.]. 2/ page 30 "Le Mont de Piété, effet de soir et de pluie" [Vial 61, 5 copies]. On japon with red stamp. 3/ page 64 "rue Mercière, n° 88" [Vial 92, 5 copies before the letter]. 4/ page 74 "Vieux puits, rue Mercière n° 14" [Vial 172, 20 copies]. 5/ page 106 "Pont du Change in 1880" [Vial 102, 90 copies]. 6/ page 142 "Rue " [unidentified]. 7/ page 278 "Escalier rue Saint-Jean [Vial 113]. 8/ page 306 "Église Saint-Paul" [Vial 93]. and late, in 1937 and folded in two [inserted p. 142], the "Plan géométral de la ville de Lyon en 1789 dressé d'après des documents de l'époque par E.P. Lapeyre [plan which was published in 1937, filled in at the end of the 1st volume of "Lyon n'est plus" by Edouard Herriot].

HELBRONNER (Paul). Detailed geometrical description of the French Alps. Overview of the summit of Mont Blanc. Appendix to volume two: the iconographic origins of geodesy. S. l., s. n., 1921. One folio volume, leaves, publisher's lace-up portfolio titled on the front cover. Traces of damp and small tears to the plates. 23 large leaves enclosed in six sets, the first of which, entitled Tour d'horizon complet du sommet du Mont Blanc, comprises 13 leaves. In leaves XIV to XXIII, Helbronner has depicted Mont Blanc from the Col du Géant and the summits of the Mont Maudit, the Belvédère des Aiguilles rouges, the Aiguille du Tour and the Aiguille du Moine.
